CELEBRATE RECOVERY
Celebrate Recovery is for anyone with a hurt, habit, or hang-up. There isn’t a person alive who can't claim at least
one of those! We've all been hurt and we've all hurt others. We're all recovering from something! Recovery issues
vary. Grief, loss, abandonment, anger, fear, anxiety, depression, alcohol, drugs, prescription drug abuse, eating
disorders, cigarettes, divorce, co-dependency, sexual abuse and addictions, financial recovery…the list is endless.
Grace Community currently offers two different formats for involvement in Celebrate Recovery:
Monday Night Celebrations:
Celebrate Recovery's Monday Night Celebration is a time to celebrate all the great things God is doing in our
lives. We have a time for fellowship, worship, small group sharing*, coffee and desserts afterwards.
*Share groups meet every Monday night at 6:45. This is a great opportunity to meet with other men or women and
share real life issues.
Step-Study Groups:
Currently, Grace Community is offering men’s and women’s step-study groups on Monday evenings at 6:45. Step-
study groups for men and women meet separately and form throughout the year as interest indicates. The groups
are small, 6-10 participants, and remain “open” to new members as they work through the first workbook. Once a
group has been established, it takes 12-18 months to progressively work through the step-study curriculum.
Group Guidelines
Both recovery meeting formats hold to a strict code of confidentiality and respect for all participants. There are 5 structured guidelines that keep
the environment safe and conducive to honest sharing. These guidelines are reviewed before each meeting to keep them fresh and at work
within the group.
1. Keep your sharing focused on your own thoughts and feelings. Please limit
your sharing to 3-5 minutes.
2. There will be no cross talk, please. Cross talk is when 2 individuals engage in a dialogue, excluding all others. Each person is free to express
feelings without interruption.
3. We are here to support one another. We will not attempt to “fix” another.
4. Anonymity and confidentiality are basic requirements. What is heard in the group stays in the group!
5. Offensive language has no place in a Christ-centered group.

Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I
cannot change;
courage to change the
things I can;
and wisdom to know the
difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at
a time;
Accepting hardships as
the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this
sinful world
as it is, not as I would
have it;
Trusting that He will make
all things right if I
surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably
happy in this life
and supremely happy
with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.
